2.1 Who is responsible
The controller for personal data processed through this website is Health & Beauty GmbH, Weinstraße 3, 80333 München, Germany, kontakt@ankaferd.info. Data protection contact: kontakt@ankaferd.info. We have not appointed a data protection officer, as there is no statutory obligation to do so.
2.2 What happens when you visit
Every page, stylesheet, script, font and illustration is served from this website’s own server. Your browser makes no requests to Google Fonts, content delivery networks, video platforms, map services or social networks while you read it. True as built

Like any web server, our hosting provider records technical access logs (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type) to deliver and secure the site. We do not evaluate these logs by individual and do not combine them with other data sources. They are kept for 14 days and then deleted. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The enquiry form on the contact page is live and sends your enquiry to us by e-mail.

When you submit the form, we process the details you enter (enquiry type, name, e-mail address, country, your message and, depending on the enquiry type, optional details such as profession, company, territories, pharmacy/organisation or publication) solely to handle and answer your enquiry. Depending on the enquiry type we route your message to the relevant inbox (kontakt@ankaferd.info or distribution@ankaferd.info), and we send an automatic acknowledgement to the address you provide. Before submitting, you confirm with a checkbox that we may use your details to reply. Legal bases: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), the taking of steps prior to or the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
To guard against misuse and spam, the form checks technical features of the submission (unfilled “honeypot” fields, the time taken to complete it, and simple content signals) and processes the IP address of the sending device; the IP address is also included in the e-mail delivered to us. This processing serves the security and functioning of the form (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not embed any external spam or captcha services.
We delete enquiries 24 months after the last contact unless retention is required by law. E-mail is delivered through our hosting / e-mail provider (see 2.4).
Product-safety reports (suspected incidents or side effects). If you report a suspected incident involving Ankaferd Blood Stopper®, we process the information required for this — including health data where applicable — solely to meet our legal vigilance obligations under Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (MDR) and the German Medical Devices Implementation Act (MPDG). Legal bases: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation) and, where health data is concerned, Art. 9(2)(i) GDPR (public health) in conjunction with § 22 BDSG. Recipients may be the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) and — in pseudonymised form — the manufacturer (see 2.4).
2.4 Recipients and transfers

Hosting and e-mail providers process data as processors under Art. 28 GDPR on the basis of data processing agreements; processing takes place within the EU/EEA. Beyond this, data is not transferred to third countries as a rule.
Vigilance exception: Where we are required to pass a suspected incident to the manufacturer İmmün Gıda İlaç Kozmetik (Türkiye) to meet statutory vigilance obligations, we do so in pseudonymised form. There is no EU adequacy decision for Türkiye; the transfer relies on Art. 49(1) GDPR (necessity for important reasons of public interest or to protect vital interests) or on appropriate safeguards under Art. 46 GDPR (standard contractual clauses).
2.5 Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you (for example the EU GDPR or Türkiye’s Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, KVKK), you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased or its processing restricted;

- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR);
- withdraw a given consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR);
- lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for us in particular the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach.
No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.

- Approval and conformity status. Ankaferd Blood Stopper® is approved by the Turkish Ministry of Health for local applications in dental and superficial bleeding1. In the EU the product is CE-marked (Class III medical device under Directive 93/42/EEC, notified body TSE 1783); the certificate is valid during the MDD→MDR transition. A CE marking signifies conformity, not a regulatory “approval”. Its status in other countries is to be confirmed.
- State of the evidence. Much of the published evidence comes from in vitro, animal and small clinical studies, and authors have called for controlled trials12. Uses described on this site that go beyond the approved indication are reported from the literature and are not recommendations.
- Investigational uses. Wound-healing, antimicrobial and antineoplastic effects must be regarded as investigational1.
- Neural tissue. Potential neurotoxicity has been reported in rodents1. Avoid direct application on exposed neural tissue. (IFU wording to be confirmed)
